ah, and I should also mention 80plus:
http://www.80plus.org/

They're pushing the 80+% efficienct power supplies. I was really happy to find that some vendors (newegg.com specifically) were listing the efficiency of the power supplies on their webpage. Some of their guided searching allows you to select processors by their power draw.

Well, I've mostly dealt with this with white-box vendors. I know that Thinkmate (http://www.thinkmate.com/ ) and Iron Systems (http://www.ironsystems.com/ ) offer some amount of flexibility in being able to choose what you want to put into it. I assume that most white-box vendors that build a significant number of machines will have some idea as to what options exist. You can also roll your own, if you're just looking for small numbers of boxes. When I'm dealing with it, I just try and look at the whole box, and try to optimize for what makes sense.

For implementing GTD you can use this web-based application:

<a href="http://www.Gtdagenda.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.Gtdagenda.com</a>

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use

checklists, schedules and a calendar.

I used and taught Covey and Daytimer for many years before reading David Allen's GTD book and switching to GTD. Its made a significant impact for the good on my business and personal productivity.

And I found an application that allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. And another app lets me call in tasks to my GTD without any writing or typing, great for those thoughts that hit me while driving.

I've written about my experiences with GTD at

Comment on Bose Quietcomfort (QC2) headphones by sgw

I have tried some of the sony headphones, and a few other brands out there. There are other fine choices out there, though they often had some annoyance or another. An important thing about the Bose QC2 is that it's very comfortable to wear. Many of the other headphones would annoy me after a few hours. I had no problems wearing the QCs for long flights, or full days in at work. If I had to guess, the Consumer Reports review probably only focused on wearing the headphones for a short period of time.

I'll keep an eye out for the panasonics, and I'll be sure to give them a try. Thanks!

Have you tried any other NC headphones? Some time ago, I read a review (Consumer Reports, maybe?) of NC headphones that rated some Panasonic model as virtually as good as the Bose, but at 33-50% of the Bose price.
